Established in 1995, this program seeks to reduce the prevalence of malnutrition among children age 5 and under through the monthly distribution of a food supplement (fortified powdered milk), the incorporation and training of community volunteers in the weight and height monitoring , and workshops on nutrition and food production.

Currently, we work with more than 6,000 children in over 400 communities in the Sierra Tarahumara. After sixteen years of continuous operation the program has benefited more than 25,700 children.

In 2012, 62% of the children suffering from severe to mild malnutrition recovered their ideal weight and height. Annual cost per child: 97 US dollars
